MONTEREY BAY
PEST CONTROL INC.
LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED
You think that you have a serene and tranquil Californian backyard. Then the plants begin dying.
You water them, prune them and give them all the care they need. However, when you pull them up, you find that all of their roots are mysteriously missing.
There’s no mystery about this. You’re dealing gophers, and that means that you need to take a different approach. Chicken wire and traps might do it, but how do you protect your fruit trees or grass from these critters? Fortunately, you can bring in the big guns by hiring us.
Monterey Bay Pest Control Inc.
has
freed residents of Monterey County from gophers
since 1950.
Gophers exist underground for the vast majority of their lives. This allows them to be active all year long. They don’t hibernate, which means that as long as they’re up and going, they’re eating. Their main source of food is plant matter. More specifically, they eat your plants.
Like much of California, you’ve likely made expensive investments in the state and quality of your landscape. Much of that will go right into the stomachs of your gopher residents if you’re not careful about how you manage your property. Hiring an extermination team will go a long way toward solving your gopher problem.
These furry enemies of ours are notoriously active and engaged in devouring everything they can. Like most rodents, gophers are burrowing animals. However, unlike other rodents, gophers’ burrows can be up to 800 feet in length and stretch across your entire property, allowing them to come and go as they please.
Locating the tunnel isn’t enough. You need to make sure that you know where the tunnel exits and where you can force the gopher to go. Once you do that, proper trapping will make short work of it. An average home lawn will have no more than four or five gophers in it, so eliminating even one of them will lead to huge progress in protecting your yard.
Dealing with gophers can be a hairy business. Between the stress of tracking them down and then eliminating them from your yard, it can take a lot out of you.
Don’t let these bullies ruin your plants and vegetation. We’re more than happy to get rid of them for you at a reasonable rate. Consult with us today to learn how to regain control of your grounds.
